Algebra University

Algebra University is part of the largest private educational organization in this part of Europe, changing lives of 15.000 individuals annually. Founded in 1998, Algebra today employs more than 230 permanent employees and over 600 external associates. While many European universities are struggling with lack of students, Algebra University accounts for 20% year-on-year growth of freshmen for the past decade. Many programs are delivered in English for domestic and international students using residential, hybrid and on-line approach.

Institution currently carries out numerous study programs and specializations within three major areas: Computer Science, Arts and Economy. In addition to higher education programs, we carry out almost 1000 shorter educational programs and 50 accredited longer educational programs for adults.

About

The quality of Algebra has been recognized not only by students but also by all major software manufacturers. Thus, many of Algebra educational programs are authorized by global software and equipment manufacturers such as Microsoft, Cisco, Oracle, Red Hat, VMware, Adobe, Autodesk, EC-Council, (ISC)2, and others. Algebra has the status of being the academic and/or educational partner of all stated vendors, for most of them the only one in Croatia.

Apart from our teaching focus, Algebra University is also dedicated to applied research. Algebra Research LAB provides research and technical solutions in areas of Applied Computing, Data Science/ AI /IoT, Digital economy/marketing, Cybersecurity and Digital Arts being one of the most influential regional centres for research into digital technology use, entrepreneurship and innovation development. In its research projects, Algebra cooperates with a wide community of scientific, educational and industrial partners, alongside with public institutions, on various initiatives tackling a wide range of topics in predominantly technical and social fields, but also in the field of arts and humanities, as well as natural sciences.

We are especially proud on the following accomplishments:

  • Algebra expert team in data science won the first prize in the 1st Big Data Hackathon organized by EUROSTAT and European Commission in 2017
  • Algebra was Microsoft Global Learning Partner of the Year award twice – first in 2014 and again in 2020 when recognized as co-founder and a motor of Leading Learning Partners Association, organization gathering 50 institutions form 50 countries acting as global provider of digital knowledge
  • Algebra won the prestigious title of EY Entrepreneur of the year 2020 in Croatia.
