Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO)
The Universidad Europea del Atlántico (UNEATLANTICO) is a Higher Education Institution that guarantees academic excellence, with a clear international projection that is supported by the network of the 39 sites present around the globe. Its campus, located in Santander (Northern Spain) hosts students from more than 30 nationalities and the teaching staff is made up of professionals, researchers and scholars with a great national and international prestige.
About
UNEATLANTICO is built in the Spanish university system and all its education is aimed at the achievement of official degrees. It follows a training model, with a special emphasis on the use of information and communication technologies, at the same time that it focuses on practice. With this learning system, the student’s autonomy is boosted, as the learning of competencies linked to the student’s professional demands.
The University has signed numerous internship agreements with a wide range of educational entities that complement formal university education and facilitate the development of the cross-curricular skills needed to break into the job market. A true indication of the importance that the University places on innovation and knowledge transfer is the establishment of the Centre for Research and Industrial Technology of Cantabria (CITICAN). CITICAN is a scientific foundation through which RDI (Research, Development and Innovation) of the academic institutions are developed.
The synergy between UNEATLANTICO, and the society altogether equally allows to power specialized profiles in the most innovative sectors. Therefore, the University campus is located in the Scientific and Technological Park, whose main objective is to increase the wealth of its community by promoting the culture of innovation and competitiveness among companies and institutions installed in the park.
The educational offer is structured into undergraduates, official masters’ and UNEAT-specific degrees. The University hosts the faculty in Health Sciences, the faculty in Social Sciences and Humanities and the Higher Polytechnic School. The University is a collaborating member of the national ICT cluster of Cantabria called Association of Information and Communications Technology of Cantabria.
