DIGITAL FIRST is an attempt to devise a new, innovative pedagogical approach to informatics, which respects the fact that children we teach have been born into the digital world, they do not know any other way: digital is the language they speak, they currency they exchange. We argue that 21st century children are often more fluent in digital language than in their mother tongue. And just like in language acquisition, native speakers learn how to express meaning in a sentence (function) and not how to conjugate verbs (structure), we argue that the same principle should be applied to teaching informatics for digital natives. DIGITAL FIRST will form a European network in which the functional approach to teaching informatics will be co-created and co-designed and piloted.

The general objective of AI4VET4AI is to establish a transnational European platform for vocational education and training (VET) excellence. This platform aims to contribute to the digital transformation of the EU labour market by introducing innovative teaching content and methods into vocational education and training (VET) curricula across 11 European countries. The primary goal is to support and foster the growth of a skilled workforce in the field of artificial intelligence (AI).

To improve the quality of education, teachers should be able to make effective decisions about students’ individualized plans (IEPs) with the standards and criteria set in well-designed data collection and documentation. This project provided in-service training programs to develop competence in student assessments, and a website for dissemination.

The European Digital Hubs (EDIH) Network is the driving force behind Europe’s digitalisation. It brings together EDIHs, (SMEs) and public sector organisations, to make the EU’s Digital Decade 2030 targets a reality. This network of tech experts is dedicated to guiding Europe’s businesses on their path to digital transformation.

Blockchain innovation is a big yet unseized opportunity for SMEs in North West Europe. It has the potential to transform 3 of NWE’s top 5 sectors with €600bn turnover (agrofoods, logistics, health) that have shared transnational data challenges.

This project aims to develop a study of how unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) can be included in the infrastructure of communication networks due to their ability to provide coverage and expanded network capacity. There are, however, several challenges in establishing UAV-assisted communication networks in 5G and beyond.

Through a vast series of conferences and workshops open not only to students, professors and researchers but also to companies and society in general, this project aims to understand and explain the dynamics of the relationship between Europe and Asia in its multiple dimensions, focusing on the contribution of that relationship to the mutual knowledge of peoples, to business opportunities and to the enrichment of the societies of the two Continents and the World.

Cybersecurity Competence Center (CCC) aims to strengthen the national cybersecurity framework, deepening, in a structured and integrated way, the training of companies and the public administration in the field of cybersecurity and the safe use of data.

The overall objective of ONEforest is to develop a Multi-Criteria Decision Support System (MCDSS) that supports decision-making by assessing sustainable forest management, synergies and trade-offs of forest ecosystem services, reliable wood supply, and stakeholder interests through forest-wood value chain indicators of social, economic, and environmental dimensions.

The A-IQ Ready project aims to introduce and materialise an intelligent autonomous ECS fit for our digital age and utilise crucial technologies, like edge continuum orchestration for artificial intelligence, distributed collaborative intelligence and quantum sensing, which could prove revolutionary for most services and industries. These technologies and their combination will propel the transition to a Europe of Society 5.0.

How to start business in the Metaverse? What are the technical and commercial challenges and opportunities? In international and multidisciplinary teams, students develop a Go-to-market-strategy for a Metaverse-service. Students create a typical GTM strategy, including target market profiles, a marketing plan, and a concrete sales strategy. Computer science students will cooperate with marketing and business management students. Students need to cross disciplinary and international borders and co-create.

The project proposes the development and validation of a European approach based on a digital platform for the support of teacher practice for schoolteachers in transition. The platform will be a virtual common environment for teachers in transition (pre-service teachers or students, newly qualified teachers, beginning teachers or in-service teachers), school-mentors, HEI teachers and continuous education trainers.
