More information
The SMART4FUTURE project aims through innovation hubs to inspire students, academic and non-academic staff to harness smart technology and cultivate entrepreneurial solutions. Griffith College’s involvement led to targeted teaching materials, training and mentorship offerings, and the promotion of accessible learning through Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs). GBS Hub participated in creating three programmes, (1) Growing a Lean Start-up, (2) Lead Through Smart Change (competitive advantage through using deep technology), (3) How to Fail Successfully (how to rebuild from failure) developed by Griffith College. Each programme contained 60 MOOCs. Through this project, the Graduate Business School Research and Innovation Hub supported multiple start-up companies, including student start-ups. A key objective is enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education. In line with this, GBS Hub plans to create an incubator unit to nurture business ideas and collaborate with the external industry. It also provides valuable professional consultation to local entrepreneurs. With SMART4FUTURE strengthening academia-industry ties, Griffith College is positioned as a valuable research and innovation partner on national and European fronts, bolstering its competitiveness in the field.
