Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) recently hosted an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on ESG topics and Power BI, combining theoretical input with practice-oriented learning.
During the week, students and lecturers from five DIVERSE member universities—Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa, Hogeschool PXL, Technische Hochschule Rosenheim, University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology “G.E. Palade” of Târgu Mureș, and the host institution SAMK—worked together in mixed international teams. Participants explored ESG topics and developed data-driven insights using Power BI, applying their knowledge in real-world scenarios.
The programme provided clear added value for participants:
🔸 Students gained practical experience in analysing and interpreting ESG data through Power BI.
🔸 The format prioritised interactive workshops and teamwork over traditional lectures.
🔸 Participants strengthened both technical skills and social competencies essential for international and interdisciplinary collaboration.
🔸 Final presentations were delivered before industry experts, offering valuable feedback and networking opportunities.
Beyond academic activities, participants also enjoyed cultural experiences, including a pizza night and attendance at a local ice hockey game, creating memorable moments and fostering intercultural exchange.
This Erasmus+ BIP reflects the commitment of the participating universities to international learning, collaboration and professional growth, providing meaningful experiences through shared work, practical learning, and cross-cultural engagement.
