This project is a response to three key challenges in the EU: sustainable economic growth, climate change and security. Deep tech is presented as a key solution, with advances in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology and other fields.
European higher education institutions (HEIs) play a crucial role in this transformation, promoting innovation, knowledge and entrepreneurship. In this context, the European Commission has promoted initiatives to maximise the valorisation of knowledge by adopting a Council Recommendation on this issue in 2022.
DIVERSE promotes the concept of ‘venture science’, highlighting that today’s innovation allows more people to access technology and generate impact. It seeks to empower entrepreneurially-minded students to turn their learning into social and technological value
