Algebra Bernays hosts a BIP on miro-credentials with experts from 11 universities

Algebra Bernays University (Croatia) held the face-to-face part of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) focused on microcredentials during the week of 15 to 29 September.

During this week, experts and professionals from 11 universities in 10 European countries worked together to co-create tools and design pilot programmes that will set the course for flexible, accredited education tailored to the needs of the labour market in Europe.

The programme combined interactive sessions, presentations and group work, addressing key topics such as identifying labour market needs, using Europass in digital micro-credentials, effective online teaching strategies, and innovation, sustainability and entrepreneurship in higher education.

One of the major achievements was progress on the DIVERSE Micro-Credentials Toolkit, a practical framework that includes everything from curriculum design methodologies to financial models and promotional tools.

In addition, participants created five pilot programmes in areas as relevant as: strategic political communication, sustainability reporting for SMEs, ethics and artificial intelligence, intercultural communication, and deep tech entrepreneurship.

The meeting concluded with the presentation and review of these programmes, as well as a discussion on the DIVERSE Microcredentials Policy, which will serve as a strategic basis for the entire alliance.

A significant step forward for a European higher education that is innovative, connected, and impactful, creating new opportunities for DIVERSE staff and students and fostering collaboration that will shape the future of flexible education in Europe.
