May 26, 2025 – The DIVERSE Seal of Excellence European University Alliance is proud to announce that the project GreenTech 4 Transformation (GT4T), coordinated by our member Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), has been awarded funding through the EIT Higher Education Initiative 2024 Call.
This recognition marks a significant step forward in our shared commitment to foster inclusive, interdisciplinary, and impact-driven innovation across Europe’s higher education institutions.
GT4T is a flagship initiative that reflects DIVERSE’s vision of empowering universities to lead the transition toward a more sustainable and digitally connected Europe. The project will:
- Establish Venture Science Centers within partner institutions
- Deliver micro-credential-based interdisciplinary training
- Create a digital innovation community that bridges academia, entrepreneurship, and industry
Inclusivity is a cornerstone of GT4T. The project will offer tailored programs for both young innovators (ages 17–25) and experienced professionals (55+), promoting intergenerational learning and collaboration.
The GT4T project brings together a strong consortium of institutions and innovation stakeholders from across Europe. The initiative is led by Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) in Finland and includes four other higher education institutions, proudly recognized as members of the DIVERSE European University Alliance: Technische Hochschule Rosenheim (Germany), Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands, in partnership with ZWINC), İstanbul Beykent Üniversitesi (Türkiye), and Griffith College Dublin (Ireland).
In addition to these core academic partners, the consortium is strengthened by three dynamic innovation-driven organizations: Furthr (Ireland), Ikigaia Ltd (Finland), and Wild Campus GmbH (Germany), whose expertise in entrepreneurship and ecosystem development adds strategic value to the project’s implementation.
