DIVERSE Student Council discusses next steps and elections

The DIVERSE Student Council held an online meeting attended by 16 student representatives. The session included a presentation of the DIVERSE Alliance, discussion of the draft Student Council Statutes, and an overview of the upcoming election process and planned activities.

The DIVERSE Student Council consists of 24 members, with two student representatives from each of the 12 partner institutions of the Alliance. As a representative body, the Council aims to ensure that student perspectives are included in the activities and governance of the DIVERSE Alliance.

During the meeting, members were introduced to the Alliance’s partner institutions, governance structure, and current initiatives. Particular attention was given to the role of the Student Council within the Alliance framework. Representatives discussed the proposed Statutes, which remain open to further development in line with members’ suggestions, and exchanged views on the distribution of responsibilities in order to encourage broad participation across different roles. Students also expressed interest in engaging in the Alliance’s working groups, with further steps to follow as the Council’s activities take shape.

As part of its ongoing organization, the Council will now proceed with leadership elections. Members may submit candidatures for the positions of President, Vice-President, two representatives to the DIVERSE Executive Board, and two Communication Officers until 12 March 2026. The anonymous online vote will conclude with the announcement of results on 23 March 2026.
