DIVERSE is excited to announce the informal inauguration of the Venture Science Center (VSC) at the Pori campus of Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK). The VSC is a collaborative space designed to connect talent, innovation, and entrepreneurial thinking, providing students with opportunities to prototype and test ideas in a real-world environment.
The informal launch event will take place on 1 December, from 15:00 to 17:00, in Room A101 at Campus Pori. During the event, SAMK will also introduce the Prototype Club, the VSC’s first student club, offering access to A101 and the Mech Lab spaces for independent projects and short training sessions from December through spring.
A highlight of the VSC is the SAMK Can Venture Competition, where students will design, build, and launch a can-sized satellite capable of reaching heights of 20–300 metres and recording temperature and pressure data. The final launch is planned for spring 2026, with a Grand Jury selecting the winning team.
This initiative reflects DIVERSE’s commitment to hands-on learning, innovation, and entrepreneurship, providing transformative experiences for the academic community.
