SAMK celebrates informal opening of Venture Science Center

Our DIVERSE member, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK), has celebrated the informal opening of its Venture Science Center (VSC)—a space designed to reduce barriers, spark curiosity, and build confidence, enabling bold ideas to grow into real results.

The VSC marks a new chapter for transdisciplinary collaboration, creativity, and innovation across the DIVERSE European University Alliance. It brings together students, staff, researchers, and external partners in an open environment designed to experiment, learn by doing, and turn ideas into tangible impact. The strong participation at the informal opening—with more than 40 Finnish and international students—highlights the center’s inclusive vision and its role in fostering globally minded innovation.

The VSC strengthens the DIVERSE Alliance by enhancing collaboration through joint innovation programmes, shared student challenges, cross-border research pilots, mobility opportunities, and collaborative startup pathways.

As part of the GT4T (Greentech for Transformation) project, funded by the EIT Higher Education Initiative (Climate-KIC) and supported by the EU, the VSC enables SAMK to contribute to shared innovation programmes, research pilots, mobility opportunities, and collaborative entrepreneurship pathways across the Alliance.

The official launch of the Venture Science Center is planned for Spring 2026, marking a major milestone in building a stronger, more connected innovation ecosystem within DIVERSE.
