Venture Science Center
The Venture Science Center (VSC) is a university-based innovation hub that connects science, education, and entrepreneurship in one collaborative ecosystem.
It provides a structured space where students, researchers, educators, and external partners work together across disciplines to turn ideas into tangible solutions. The VSC supports the full early-stage innovation journey — from ideation and prototyping to validation and initial market exploration — while embedding entrepreneurial thinking into academic culture.
Why it matters
The Venture Science Center strengthens universities’ capacity to systematically integrate innovation and entrepreneurship into education and research.
It:
- Embeds entrepreneurial thinking into academic culture
- Strengthens interdisciplinary cooperation
- Connects universities to industry and regional ecosystems
- Reinforces collaboration within the DIVERSE University Alliance
Through the VSC, partners:
- Co-develop and deliver innovation workshops and modules
- Launch cross-border student prototyping initiatives
- Run company-driven challenge projects
- Pilot applied research with ecosystem actors
The VSC provides both a physical and methodological “home” for sustained cooperation.
Milestones
The Venture Science Center has already launched its activities with an opening session and is preparing its flagship event:
Founders & Innovators Day
📅 26 March 2026
📍 SAMK (Agora)
The event will feature keynote contributions, hands-on workshops, and student challenge and pitching sessions. It serves as a key entry point for partner engagement within the shared innovation ecosystem.
GT4T has been recognised by the EIT Higher Education Initiative as a successful example of European Universities alliance collaboration and was presented during the opening session of the new EIT HEI call.
