SAMK Strengthens International Collaboration through Its International Staff Week 2025

As part of its ongoing commitment to internationalization and fostering cooperation between higher education institutions, Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) , an active member of the DIVERSE alliance, hosted its International Staff Week from April 14 to 18, 2025.

Under the theme “Exploring our International Collaboration”, the event brought together academic and administrative professionals from partner universities around the world for a week of interdisciplinary exchange, professional development, and institutional cooperation.

The event welcomed participants from  DIVERSE member higher institutions, including:

  • Universidad Europea del Atlántico (Spain)
  • PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Belgium)
  • TH Rosenheim (Germany)

Throughout the week, attendees engaged in a dynamic program covering various fields of expertise. Participants included staff from international offices, libraries, and educational services, as well as Erasmus+ teaching and training mobility participants. The program featured both joint sessions and role-specific activities, encouraging shared reflection and targeted learning tailored to different professional contexts.

Activities took place across SAMK’s campuses, offering a comprehensive overview of the university’s strengths from its modern educational infrastructure to its research initiatives and strong regional engagement. Informal networking opportunities also played a key role, fostering connections, synergy-building, and the development of future collaborative projects.
