Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences, a member of DIVERSE, hosted a Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) at the Ruhpolding Campus from 20–24 April 2026, welcoming 86 participants including students and academic staff from universities across Europe.
The programme focused on entrepreneurship, innovation and challenge-based learning, with the aim of developing innovative solutions to real-world challenges. It combined academic sessions, field visits and intercultural activities, all set in the inspiring Alpine environment of Ruhpolding.
Programme highlights
A number of key activities marked the week-long programme, including:
- An expert lecture by Jonathan Parker on how emerging technologies can contribute to addressing global challenges
- A formal welcome reception hosted by the local mayor
- Final presentations delivered by international student teams
- A networking and cultural exchange visit to the Chiemgau Coaster in Ruhpolding
Participants came from partner institutions including Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Windesheim University of Applied Sciences and Griffith College, as well as from Romania and Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences.
Impact and outcomes
The BIP provided participants with the opportunity to strengthen their skills in innovation, entrepreneurship and intercultural collaboration. It also fostered meaningful cultural exchange and the development of international networks, reinforcing the core values of the DIVERSE: collaboration, internationalisation and shared learning across Europe.
