As the academic year comes to an end, it’s time to take a well-deserved break, recharge and reflect on everything we have achieved together.
At DIVERSE, we would like to thank our entire community for being part of another remarkable year. Thanks to the commitment of our students, staff and partners, our alliance has continued to grow as a truly European and multidisciplinary institution, driven by technological innovation, entrepreneurship and shared European values.
This academic year has represented another important step forward in consolidating DIVERSE as an ambitious European University Alliance, marked by new initiatives, international collaboration and significant achievements across all our partner institutions.
International learning and mobility
One of the highlights of the year has been the successful organisation of numerous Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) for students and staff across our partner universities, including Algebra University (Croatia), Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences (Germany), SAMK (Finland), PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (Belgium), Windesheim University of Applied Sciences (The Netherlands), SMK University of Applied Sciences (Lithuania),Griffith College (Ireland) and George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureș (Romania).These programmes strengthened international cooperation while providing valuable academic and intercultural experiences.
The academic year also concluded with a wide range of international Summer Courses hosted across the alliance, offering students new opportunities to develop their academic, professional and intercultural skills.
Programme development
Academic development has continued through the design of new joint educational programmes. One of the most significant achievements has been the progress made in developing the Joint International Master’s Degree in International Business & Geopolitics.
In addition, the programme underwent an accreditation review by the Dutch accreditation agency (NVAO), representing a significant step towards ensuring compliance with the highest standards of academic quality and international recognition.
Student involvement in the alliance
This year marked an important milestone with the creation of the DIVERSE Student Council. Student representatives have become active contributors to the alliance, participating in governance meetings and playing an important role in the accreditation process of the European Master’s Degree in Digital Innovation (EMDI-BAG).
DIVERSE also launched the Job Exchange Platform, connecting students with professional opportunities across Europe.
Expanding our European presence and colaboration
Throughout the year, DIVERSE increased its international visibility by participating in major European conferences and networking events, including EAIE, EQAF, UAS4EUROPE and several European Universities meetings in Brussels. These events created new opportunities to exchange knowledge, build partnerships and contribute to the future of European higher education.
Collaboration continued to be one of DIVERSE’s greatest strengths. Alliance teams met regularly at partner institutions to coordinate strategic decisions and strengthen cooperation across Europe.
Innovation and entrepreneurship
Innovation remained at the heart of the alliance. This year saw the inauguration of the Venture Science Center (VSC) at SAMK in Finland, the celebration of the Founders & Innovators Day at SAMK and the Patent Inventure – Health Innovation Demo Day hosted by Beykent University, all reinforcing our commitment to entrepreneurship and innovation.
The alliance also took part in initiatives such as the European Digital Education Hub (EDEH) and the Global Toolkit for Teaching (GT4T), promoting innovative and inclusive teaching practices.
Looking back, this has been a year of growth, collaboration and shared achievements. Every project, mobility and initiative has brought us closer to our vision of building an inclusive, entrepreneurial and future-oriented European University.
As we pause for the summer break, we would like to thank everyone who has been part of this journey. We wish the entire DIVERSE community a relaxing summer and look forward to welcoming you back in September with new energy and exciting projects ahead.
