Dr. Metin Güven is a faculty member at Istanbul Beykent University and Director of the Technology Transfer Office Application and Research Center.He represents the university on the Executive Board of the DIVERSE European University Alliance, where he contributes to strategic cooperation, institutional development, and the strengthening of international academic partnerships. His work is particularly focused on supporting the internationalization of higher education, strengthening inter-institutional dialogue, and promoting innovation-oriented collaboration at the European level.
He holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, an M.Sc. in Automotive Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University. With more than twenty years of experience in the automotive sector, he has held engineering and leadership roles in global automotive companies. This background has shaped his practical, interdisciplinary approach to innovation, project development, and institutional collaboration.
At Istanbul Beykent University, Dr. Güven works to enhance international project capacity, support technology transfer processes, and contribute to the development of innovation and entrepreneurship within higher education. He is also an inventor with numerous patents and has contributed to research and innovation initiatives in sustainability, engineering, and applied technology.
