The Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa (UAL), a partner of the DIVERSE Alliance, is organising an edition of the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “International Business and Geopolitics: Networks and Debates”, an international learning experience open to students, academic staff and professional services staff.
The programme is part of the initiatives supporting DIVERSE’s joint Master’s in Business and Geopolitics (EMDI BAG). It provides a collaborative environment where participants can explore the links between international business and today’s geopolitical landscape through discussion, teamwork and practical learning.
The BIP combines an online component during the week of 9–13 November 2026 with an on-site mobility at UAL in Lisbon from 23–27 November 2026. The programme will be delivered entirely in English and awards 3 ECTS credits.
Throughout the on-site week, participants will work in international teams through lectures, workshops and co-creation activities. They will also engage with external organisations and institutions, gaining first-hand insights into the relationship between business, innovation and geopolitics through visits and meetings with organisations such as the National Defence Institute, EuroDefense Portugal, Taguspark Technology Park and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Alongside the academic programme, a range of social and networking activities will encourage intercultural exchange, informal learning and the development of lasting international connections.
The application deadline is 16 October 2026.
If you are interested in broadening your understanding of the global challenges shaping international business and geopolitics, developing your international skills and becoming part of the DIVERSE community, this BIP is an excellent opportunity.
