From 13 to 18 May 2026, the G.E. Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Targu Mureș (UMPhST), member of the DIVERSE European University Alliance, hosted the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “communic-AI-tion”, an international initiative dedicated to exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on business communication.
The programme brought together students from several European higher education institutions, including Technische Hochschule Rosenheim (Germany), Universidad Europea del Atlántico (Spain), and the University of Strasbourg (France). Through this multicultural and interdisciplinary environment, participants had the opportunity to collaborate, exchange perspectives, and develop innovative ideas related to the evolving role of AI in corporate communication.
During the week-long programme, students worked alongside regional employers, mentors, and professionals in interactive hackathon-style sessions focused on identifying new approaches to employee training, communication strategies, and talent assessment in increasingly digitalised work environments. The activities combined practical learning with international teamwork, encouraging participants to address real-world challenges through creative and technology-driven solutions.

The BIP “communic-AI-tion” reflects the DIVERSE Alliance’s commitment to promoting innovative educational models, applied learning experiences, and international cooperation across Europe. By connecting students, universities, and industry professionals, programmes such as this contribute to preparing future graduates for rapidly changing professional contexts shaped by technological transformation.
Addressing current topics such as the implementation of artificial intelligence in corporate communication is becoming increasingly important for higher education institutions. AI is no longer a future trend, but a present reality that students will encounter throughout their professional careers. Initiatives like this provide participants with the opportunity not only to better understand emerging technologies, but also to critically reflect on their ethical, strategic, and practical implications within contemporary organisations.
Through Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programmes, DIVERSE member universities continue to foster collaborative, international, and future-oriented learning experiences that equip students with the skills and perspectives needed in today’s interconnected world.
