To mark World Intellectual Property Day and Patent Week, DIVERSE member İstanbul Beykent Üniversitesi successfully organised the Patent Inventure – Health Innovation Demo Day, a flagship event designed to foster collaboration, promote intellectual property awareness and accelerate innovation within the healthcare sector.
Organised within the scope of the Istanbul Technology Transfer Network Platform, the event brought together universities, technology transfer offices (TTOs), technoparks, public institutions and entrepreneurs, creating a unique environment for collaboration and knowledge exchange across the innovation ecosystem.
The Demo Day was a true celebration of healthcare innovation, serving as a dynamic platform where health-focused concepts, patents and technological solutions were showcased and evaluated, while strengthening institutional collaboration. By connecting key stakeholders from academia, industry and the public sector, the event highlighted the importance of intellectual property and technology transfer in transforming promising ideas into real-world impact.
Throughout the day, participants presented their projects to industry experts, received valuable feedback and explored opportunities for collaboration and commercialisation. The event also provided a space for innovators to exchange experiences, discuss emerging trends and showcase solutions addressing current healthcare challenges.
As part of the #GT4T initiative, entrepreneurs also participated in specialised seminars on sustainable business models and elevator pitch sessions, further developing the entrepreneurial and communication skills needed to bring innovative technologies to market. These activities reinforced the importance of combining technical excellence with business readiness to maximise the impact of innovation.
At DIVERSE, we are proud to see our partners creating collaborative spaces that strengthen Europe’s innovation ecosystem and promote knowledge transfer between universities, researchers and entrepreneurs.
