From 23 to 27 March, SMK University of Applied Social Sciences hosted the Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) “VideoTrain Workshop: Intercultural Vilnius – Intermedia Video”, bringing together creative students from across Europe for a unique learning and collaborative experience.
The programme combined creativity, collaboration, and international exchange, offering participants the opportunity to explore Vilnius through a cultural and visual lens. Students attended lectures, visited the LRT studio, and worked on filming and editing projects centred around the theme “Intercultural Vilnius.”
Working in international teams, participants developed video projects that told stories through image and sound, while gaining hands-on experience in audiovisual production. Throughout the week, they strengthened key practical skills such as filming, sound design, editing, and creative storytelling, while also enhancing their intercultural competences.
The experience was further enriched by attendance at the International Student Short Film Festival “VideoTrain”, which provided inspiration, new perspectives, and opportunities for creative exchange.
This initiative reflects the strong collaboration between partners of the DIVERSE European University Alliance and other higher education institutions. By bringing together students from different countries and disciplines, the programme created a valuable space for learning, creativity, and international connection.
